ABOUT-FACE (2018-2019)
About-Face is a project that seeks to transform the stories women tell ourselves about our bodies. Through visual documentation and a series of intimate conversations, I explored the experiences that have been most critical to shaping women's ideas about beauty and identity. These stories first appeared at the Black Girl Miracle pop-up art gallery in March 2019. You can now view the project and read excerpts from our conversations here.

Black Girl Miracle is creating a culture of honoring the beauty and power of our experiences through the art of storytelling. By harnessing the strength of creativity and community, I hope to impact the lives of women and girls around the world. BGM’s signature event is an annual pop-up art gallery that incorporates film, poetry, visual art, and music to curate a poignant and intimate evening of experiences that draw audiences from all backgrounds.
